Forehead
Lift
Over
time the skin on the forehead stretches, causing the forehead to
sag and the brow to appear heavy over the eyes, almost droopy. A
forehead lift can raise the drooping, sagging skin giving the forehead
a smoother, younger looking appearance. Often it can improve the
brow enough to make the eyes look wider and more youthful.
There are several techniques for this type of improvement. The techniques
vary from relatively minor to more complex. What approach will work
best for the patient is determined by Dr. Best. The recovery time
and type of anesthesia are all related to the technique used.
Neck
Lift
A
Neck Lift is a limited neck tightening procedure. This procedure
is done to improve the neck "straplines". This procedure does not
tighten to the extent of a facelift, therefore it is used only when
minor tightening of the neck is needed. This is an outpatient procedure
that can be performed under local or general anesthesia.
Most patients are up and about the next day, with minor discomfort.
Activity will be limited for a week to ten days. Strenuous activities
should be limited for four weeks. Often patients return to work
within a week to ten days.
